Premium quality Australian Hide. Prime area can have minimal grain defects such as healed scars and max 5 open scratches, provided these open scratches are less than 50mm. The hides will contain maximum 5% small single butt brand and will be free of mite damage. Maximum 10% with cuts.
Prime area will show light grain defects, such as healed and open scars. Extremities will show more severe scaring in both healed and open scars, and may also show light mite damage. The hides will contain a maximum of 15% single or double butt brands. Maximum 20% cuts.
Prime area will have extensive areas of healed open scars, scratch and mite damage. Hide may also be slightly misshapen, and damage will be more severe on the extremities. Hides will contain maximum 3 brands and 20% cuts as well as small to medium rub marks.
Hides will show severe grain damage due to scatches, grain loss and excessive rub marks. Hides may also be misshapen.
Geelong Leather Wet Blue Tannery offers wet blue split hides as both side grains or in full substance on a measured per sqft basis.
Wet Blue Split Grain Sides are typically offered split at 1.6/1.8mm.
